Hannes Alfvén

Swedish electrical engineer and plasma physicist.

Hannes Olof Gösta Alfvén (1908–1995): Swedish electrical engineer and plasma physicist. He received the 1970 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on magnetohydrodynamics (MHD). He is best known for describing the class of MHD waves now known as Alfvén waves.
