Hi Brian! Just started "your" page so it would not be blank. RayJ 16:08, 10 January 2008 (MST)
Hey, Brian! I just wanted to mention that I have read, re-read, and re-read the Alan Alda essay and feel STRONGLY that we should remove the ambiguous label. Actually, I'd be 100% fine with removing the agnostic label, as well. Ordinarily, I'd just do this myself. However, you or someone else obviously spent a ton of time on that entry and I don't want to change anything on it without the blessing of the author. I dismiss the ambiguous label, because that was bestowed upon him due to his final sentence. However, a careful reading will reveal he's not referring to God in that sentence. As far as removing the agnostic label, he's a classic example of a weak atheist. The only reason HE started referring to himself as agnostic was due to a misconception about the definition of atheist. Whether or not a person labels themselves as an atheist or not is COMPLETELY irrelevant to the question of if they actually are one or not. All that matters is if they meet the definition of an atheist. He does. No question.
