Ben Folds describes himself as an atheist. His atheism is discussed in his song “Mess” off of the Ben Folds Five album The Unauthorized Biography Of Reinhold Messner. The lyrics state “And I don’t believe in God, so I can’t be saved. All alone as I’ve learned to be in this mess I have made.”
