Jerry Casale

Casale is a founding member of the group Devo and a co-writer of the song "Whip It." In the Billboard Book of One-Hit Wonders, Billboard magazine asked Casale about the role of "devolution" in Devo's style. Casale answered, "Like the Bible, devolution is basically an extended joke. One man's doughnut is another man's death."
